OBTAIN
TELEPHONE ADVICE?
To save you waiting in the surgery unnecessarily, a doctor will be available
from 12 noon to 12.45pm for telephone advice during weekdays. You may
also receive the results of tests by telephone.
HOW
DO I...
MAKE
AN APPOINTMENT?
We operate an appointments system.
Whether your appointment
is urgent or routine PLEASE:
•
Make your appointment on the day you want to be seen.
• Think!
Could your problem be dealt with:
- Over the phone (12 noon to 12.45pm
daily) by speaking to your doctor or the nurse practitioner instead.
- By an appointment with the nurse practitioner for a minor illness.
- By the practice nurse.
• Let us know if your work, carer
role or transport needs require a pre-booked appointment. We will do
all we can to help you. Please pre-book only if it is absolutely necessary.
• Try and accept the earliest appointment that you are offered.
This then leaves more appointments later in the day for others.
Families
Families can be seen together; please make sure sufficient consecutive
appointments are booked at reception.
If you cannot
attend your appointment please let reception know as soon as possible
so that it can be given to somebody else.
HOW

OBTAIN
A HOME VISIT?
It will always help us and other patients if you can come to the surgery
to see the doctor. If it is not possible for you to do this, please
ring and speak to the doctor to arrange a visit. Doctors' rounds are
planned between 8.45 and 9.30am and it is therefore helpful if you can
ring during this time. If it is out of normal surgery times, see 'Out
Of Hours'.
DISPENSING
Due to
the rural nature of the practice, we are able to dispense all medicines
to patients living a mile or more from a chemist.
