When you come to pick up your Fit Note, you will need to show us your photographic ID. If you are picking a note up for a family member or friend then you will need written consent from them to allow us to give you the note. This is because of the new Data Protection (GDPR) rules.
You can sign yourself off for the first 7 days. Your employer will have a form or you can can print this one off to claim statutory sick pay.
