Ashburton Surgery

Lines open: 8.30am to 6.00pm

Appointments

We run all our surgeries by an appointment-only system. Appointments can be booked by telephoning the surgery, visiting the surgery in person or online.

We try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice but if they are not available we may ask you to see another doctor.

Booking an appointment

Consultations are by appointment only. Urgent slots are available on the day you call whilst routine appointments can also be booked in advance.

We run a weekly late evening surgery on Thursday for people who find it difficult to attend during normal hours due to work commitments etc. We offer appointments with doctors and nurses in our late evening surgery. Although the late surgery is open to all, appointments are limited so if you can attend during the day please do so.

Appointments are available on Saturdays at a hub we share with local practices at Leatside Surgery, Totnes.  Please speak to Reception to book a weekend appointment.

Families can be seen together however please ensure sufficient consecutive appointments are booked at reception.

Telephone advice

Some things can be dealt with over the telephone such as informing you of test results or simple advice or queries about treatment. Please ring reception and they will either tell you your results (in general terms) or arrange for a doctor to ring you on a day to suit you.

Home visits

If you are too ill to come to the surgery and you require a visit at home, please call the surgery between 08:45 and 09:30 if you require a home visit as the rounds are usually planned during these times. Home visits take up more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile please come into the surgery to be seen.

You need to register to use our online appointment booking service and this is best done in person at the surgery. Please speak to one of our receptionists.
